💜 Climbing Snowdon for FND Awareness – June 2027

In June 2027, I’ll be taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon as part of an FND group walk, and I’m doing it for someone very close to my heart – my husband.

My husband has lived with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) for years, and we’re still navigating a journey that has changed so much about our lives.

FND doesn't just affect the person diagnosed; it affects the whole family. Having to give up work has had a huge impact on my husband’s independence, identity and mental health, as well as bringing financial and practical challenges for us as a family. It has also changed how we plan days out, visit places and make memories with our children.

As a wife, mum and carer, I've seen the struggles that aren't always visible to others. I'm fortunate to work for a supportive company that recognises my caring responsibilities, but I know many families face these challenges without the support they need.

I'm taking on this climb to raise awareness of FND and shine a light on the impact it has on partners, children and families too.

FND can change your life in ways you never expected, but we're learning to adapt, celebrate the little wins and make the best of what we have.

Every step I take up Snowdon will be for my husband, our family and everyone living with FND. 💜

If you can donate, share my story or help spread awareness, every bit of support means so much. Together, let's help make the invisible more visible.

Thank you for supporting my journey! 💜
