The story of FND Connect
A lived-experience CIC. Built in months, not decades.
FND CONNECT CIC started in 2026 because people living with Functional Neurological Disorder were still being disbelieved, left without information, and asked to pay for basic support. The founders live this. The community built the rest.
It started with SeizeControl — free software for logging functional seizures and symptoms, built from lived experience because existing apps assumed epilepsy. In a little over 3 months that software became a CIC, a free Discord community, grant-funded practical help, and a live Spark Map that makes an invisible condition visible.
This is not a legacy charity with a slow comms office. It is a national FND story happening now: people lighting up a map, sharing trusted information, and asking the public to treat FND — and the families around it — with ordinary decency.
