They said I couldn't...
The FND Challenge
For people living with FND (and those walking beside them): set a challenge that matters to you. Create a free page, share it, and get sponsored for FND Connect.
Not a race. Not about being the strongest. Progress looks different for everyone — and every pound raised helps FND Connect deliver real support.
Don’t live with FND, but still want to raise money? Start a general fundraiser or Pass It On.
Prefer to give directly? Grow the Grant Pot
Totals include The FND Challenge and general fundraisers raising for FND Connect.
How to get sponsored
Three steps. Anyone can take part — whatever your ability.
1. Set your challenge
Finish the line: “They said I couldn't…” Then choose what you're going to do instead. Big, small, physical, creative or restful — if it matters to you, it counts.
2. Create your free page
About two minutes. No account or password. Your public fundraising page goes live instantly if it passes our automated checks — so people can sponsor you today.
3. Share & get sponsored
Send your link to friends, family and work. We give you ready-made WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram posts — copy, paste, raise.
What you get when you sign up
- Your own public fundraising page (with secure card donations)
- Ready-made social posts to share in seconds
- A private link to manage updates and track sponsorship
- Every pound going to FND Connect CIC for the FND community
Takes about 2 minutes. Live instantly if automated checks pass. No password.
Still unsure?
Common worries — answered honestly.
“I'm not athletic / I can't do a big challenge”
You don't need to. Rest without guilt, do physio once, walk to the end of the road, share your story — all valid. You set the bar.
“I don't want my face on the internet”
Photo is optional. You can use your first name only and keep the story short. Your email is never shown publicly.
“I won't raise much”
£10 from three friends still helps. Small pages add up. You can leave the target blank or start with £50–£100.
“I don't have time”
Setup is about two minutes. Sharing one WhatsApp message is often enough to get your first sponsors.
Real people. Real stories.
