A few useful things to know
Before you join
Are the virtual support groups free?
Yes. These are free events, and TikTok gifting is disabled throughout the sessions. There is no FND Connect booking fee.
How do I join a TikTok LIVE?
Choose a session and open the host’s TikTok profile using the link in the schedule. At the scheduled time, look for their LIVE. If it has not started, check the host’s profile for updates. TikTok may ask you to sign in or open its app.
Do I need to speak or share my story?
You can come along and listen. There is no pressure to comment or share personal experiences. Join in at your own pace and take a break whenever you need one.
What time zone is the schedule in?
The weekly schedule follows UK time (GMT/BST). Each session also shows US Eastern Time (EST/EDT) and Brisbane time (Australian Eastern Standard Time, AEST all year), calculated for the date displayed. The UK and US change clocks on different dates; Brisbane stays on AEST. Overseas times can therefore change with the UK and US seasons. Australian sessions that fall on the next day are labelled.
Are these private or clinical support sessions?
These are public TikTok LIVE conversations and peer support, not private appointments, therapy or medical advice. Share only what you are comfortable making public. For urgent support, use the urgent-help information on our support page.
